David Reynolds is a Managing Director and Banker at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. David works closely with individuals, families and business owners who have accumulated substantial wealth and seek a trusted advisor to transform their hard work into meaningful legacies. A native of Cleveland
with more than 30 years of industry experience, he delivers the global capabilities of J.P. Morgan directly to clients to help guide them across the stages of their financial lives. With a practice that lies at the intersection of wealth management and philanthropy, David builds relationships with
like-minded individuals who share a passion for positively impacting the people around them. He is a leader and entrepreneur in the Cleveland community, and his particular interest is in enhancing educational opportunities for at-risk children.
David is a former Governor-appointed trustee and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Cleveland State University. He sits on the Board of Directors at the Great Lakes Science Center and is a member and former Chairman of the Board of Cleveland’s Karamu House, the oldest African-American Cultural Arts Institution in the country. He is also a member of the Professional Advisory Counsel for College Now of Greater Cleveland, Chairman of the Board of Friends of Ginn Academy, and sits on the Board of
Directors of The Crew Foundation. In 1987, David began his career at Dean Witter in New York City, then was the Director of Northern Indiana for Merrill Lynch before joining J.P. Morgan Private Bank in 2009. Most recently, he held senior Private Banking Executive roles with KeyBank for seven years before returning to J.P. Morgan. David earned a B.A. in Finance and Management from Walsh University and was a member of Leadership Cleveland’s Class of 2011. He is a Pathfinders Hall of Fame Business recipient at Maple Heights High School, a Cleveland Crain’s Notable Black Leader in 2024, a 2025 Who’s Who in Black Cleveland, and a 2025 Marquis Who’s Who in America listed in the
Library of Congress.
David has served in the Outreach Ministry of The Word Church to help provide food to those in need; he currently sings in the Word Church choir. David and his wife, Cynthia, a leader in her own right, reside in Solon and have two adult children, David Jr. and Brandon, who live in the greater
Cleveland area.
